Las Vegas Stands No Nonsense About Spanish Influenza

SPECIAL CORRESPONDENCE TO THE HERALD

Las Vegas, N. M., Nov.

The board of health adopted a resolution at its last meeting to placard every house where a case of influenza exists. Anyone who unnecessarily enters such a house will be fined $50.

Bacharach of the firm of Bacharach Bros. was fined $10 Tuesday for allowing more than five persons on one floor of his place of business. These stringent measures have been adopted on account of the increased number of cases reported since the election and the peace celebration.
