The brig John, Captain Tully, brings no late papers. She left England about the 1st of August, and called at Madeira; while there, admiral Sir George Cockburn arrived, on his way to his command at the Cape of Good Hope, having under his charge Napoleon Bonaparte, destined to his allotted residence at St. Helena. The 53d regt. it is said accompanied him as a guard. We have not been able to ascertain the name of the commanding officer, nor what number of ships Sir George Cockburn had with him.
