Full Text

July 18/19.

The independent electors of the city of Dublin, we understand, amounting to an undeniable and great majority, mean to take no part whatever in the return of representatives for the metropolis in the new parliament. It is understood that they intend to state and sign individually, their reasons for not exercising their suffrage—one of which is, that the house of commons, in the present unequal and defective state of representation, never can enjoy the confidence of the people. This will furnish new matter—The resolution is totally without precedent. Star.
