Notice was received by the police department in neighboring cities on Thursday morning to be on the lookout for Liberty bonds which were stolen from the Wayne County Bank at Wayne, Mich., on the night of February 9. A reward of $700 is offered for information leading to the recovery of the money and apprehension of the thieves. The haul totaled some $50,000. Among the bonds stolen were twenty $500 county road bonds and a great number of small Liberty bonds, $50 and $100 bonds. It is stated that three men entered the bank, tied and blinded the night watchman, blew the safe and made their getaway.
