Millersville Items.
High mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church by Rev. Paul Huber, O. S. S. R., who preached a very instructive sermon on the Gospel of the day, which, being that appointed on the last Sunday of the ecclesiastical year, is the prophecy of our Saviour concerning the destruction of Jerusalem and the events preceding the end of the world.
The altar was ablaze with candles, and the bright berries of the dulcamara with yellow chrysanthemums were used for the floral decorations. The church, when entirely finished and furnished, will compare favorably with many more favored city churches, and the constantly increasing congregation, as is generally the case when a Catholic church is built, promises a pleasant outlook for the future of Millersville.
