A former Atlanta beautician was meted a 12 months suspended sentence and $300 fine Monday in the Fulton County Criminal Court as a result of charges that she had been in the sale of narcotics.
Mrs. Ruth Allen, who was arrested in the spring of 1958 by Detectives J. D. Hudson and E. H. Lyons in connection with a mass city and federal crackdown on narcotic peddlers, was put on probation for the 12-month period.
The specific charge against the former beautician was that she had violated the Dangerous Drug Act. She had been arrested last May along with at least seven other Atlantans in connection with the sale of marihuana cigarettes and several types of narcotic tablets.
