Dorbandt Forced Down by Storm In Br. Columbia

HAZELTON, B. C. Jan. 23.--Pilot Frank Dorbandt, noted Alaska Ace flying a plane for the Bowman Airways of Anchorage, was forced down near here today in a blinding snow storm damaging one of the skis and the propeller. With Dorbandt are Grant Reed and Russ Gillis as passengers. As it will take some time to effect the necessary repairs the passengers, it is believed, will travel by rail to Prince Rupert which is 175 miles from where the plane is now grounded. Dorbandt was endeavoring a flight from Anchorage to Seattle.
