WASHINGTON,
August 7.—An unpublished soil conservation surface erosion survey was disclosed today, showing that an area nearly twice the size of Kansas has been laid waste.

Morris L. Cook, Rural Electrification Administrator, told the National Institute of Public Affairs that "if things go on as they are, in 50 years we will have a total area of really fertile lands not much more than three times the size of Nebraska. We have as a nation, less than a hundred years to go."

The total land destroyed is more than 51,000,000 acres.
