DOVER Del (AP) Bob White, former Kentucky State College football great, has been appointed Head Coach and Director of Physical Education at Delaware State College.
White was a very brilliant athlete. He captained the Kentucky State College grids in 1944, the same year they were co-champions National Champions. He was selected on All-American team at his position holding down the berth of

With twelve years of coaching experience behind him, White is well qualified for the position. Starting his coaching career at Mayfield Kentucky High School in 1946, he advanced to football coach at West Kentucky Junior College. From 1949 to 1951 he served as assistant football coach under Henry Kein at Kentucky State and was elevated to Head Coach and Athletic Director during the school year 1947. Before coming to Delaware State he was Head of the Department of Physical Education and Football coach at Maryland State College where they piled up a 10-2 record over two years. At Delaware State, White will be assisted by Belinte Catfrsh' Grone, former Delaware State grid and Ulysses S Washington, former Virginia State star. Having completed all but his final requirement for PhD degree at New York University, White is still in the athletic program for the future.
