Extrait of a Letter from Paris, June 22.

..." The Armament of Brest and Rochefort is nearly compleat.---- It consists of 36 Ships of the Line, from 80 to 60 Guns, 18 Frigates, 16 Bomb-ketches and Fire-ships, 150 Flat-bottomed Boats equipped, and 140 large Transports.

" At Havre-de-Grace they are now practising an Embarkation of Cavalry upon the new Boats.
If the Operation can be supported on our unfavourable Coast, there can be no Room to doubt of it's Success upon the Coasts of England, which are far more accessible.
The Count d'Herouville is gone to see this Essay, and to remark the Improvements whereof the thing is susceptible.
If we succeed in this Expedition, Pride must soon give Way to Moderation, and the Hand of Peace will re-establish the Right of Nations upon a solid Foundation."

....- So says Monsieur Maubert.
