Hartford, Nov. 1.-The state sewage commission held a conference with Governor Cooke to-day and the proposed work of the commission was carefully reviewed by Governor Cooke and the commission. The governor took a deep interest in the subject and pledged his active support in every reasonable way.
Later the commission met and spent several hours planning for the winter's work. It was decided that the first step to be taken was to thoroughly investigate the intermittent filtration system now in operation at Danbury, Meriden and Bristol, and the commission will visit these places in a body November 15 and 16 and personally acquaint themselves with the workings of the system. A general description with maps and photographs will be prepared by Secretary Cairns of Waterbury and a chemical and biological investigation will be undertaken by Dr. Jenkins of New Haven, who is chairman of the board.
