Says the Tombstone Epitaph: "The result of last Tuesday's election shows up more glaringly than ever the injustice that is worked on the people of this Territory by the Mormon vote. The choice of a majority of the free citizens of Arizona is nullified by the 'solid Mormon vote,' the members of which church are driven to the polls like so many cattle. How do the free, independent American citizens of Arizona relish this state of affairs—to have their politics dictated to them by a handful of graybeards in Utah?"
