OPERATIONS AGAINST TRIPOLI

A letter from Malta, dated April 19, 1805, says,--"Our preparations for another expedition against Tripoli, are making with great activity; and probably the operation will commence in June. A vessel has been dispatched to Egypt, with stores, to the assistance of the Bashaw, who says he has a legal right to the rule of Tripoli.--Mr. E. is there, to assist him to regain his rights; and to attack his brother by land, while the American squadron bombards it from the sea."
