Tired of Eight Hours.
CHICAGO, Dec. 24.—There is trouble brewing between the mason contractors and the bricklayers. The former are getting tired of the eight hour system and held a meeting this morning at the Builders' Exchange, to discuss and take action in matters of the utmost importance to the building trade. This is understood to mean that with commencement of the next season the contractors will make an effort to secure longer hours. It has been agreed to make a stand for nine hours at the present wages.
