Colombia.—A letter from Bogota of October 24th, addressed to a gentleman here from a person capable of knowing and appreciating the probabilities of better days for Colombia, contains the following paragraph:

I repeat to you that any hopes of order, peace and liberty, increase every day, in spite of the difficulties naturally to be met with in a country emerging from terrible convulsions. There is a general wish for peace, and a great desire for useful pursuits. Above all, it is encouraging to see that all patriots trust the government; and in proportion to this, a spirit of enterprise and commercial interest is prevailing.—Journal of Com.
