The true Cause Discovered.—We see by the New York Courier & Enquirer, that the New Hampshire Locofocos, after seeking all other sources of consolation for their recent defeat, and offering all other excuses, have finally hit upon one which they seem to chuckle over as something tolerably sufficient for their purposes. It is owing to the Clergy! The ministers of religion are the untoward instrumentalities that effected their overthrow. The New Hampshire Patriot is clearly of opinion that the clergy did all the mischief. There is something in the inculcations of Christianity, a sort of moral atmosphere around its ministers, which would seem to be incompatible with such locofocoism as has heretofore flourished in New Hampshire.
