KENTUCKY ELECTION.

The accounts from Kentucky continue favorable. The returns as far as heard from (19 counties complete and 16 partially) give the following result: Buckner 22,010, Breathitt 18,473—majority for Buckner 3537. 41 Clay, and 13 Jackson Representatives were known to have been elected.

At the close of the election in Louisville and Jefferson the vote stood—Buckner 1760, Breathitt 1785; Morehead 1760, Taylor 1727—the Jackson Representatives succeeded by a few votes (included above.)—In Lexington and Fayette, Buckner 1426, Breathitt 681.

The Lexington Reporter of Aug. 11th says:

"We have given below all the Election returns that we have been able to collect. So far they are flattering, and show a handsome gain over the returns of the same counties in 1828. Our majorities in some of the counties are not so great as we anticipated, but in others they are greater than we expected, so that the aggregate falls but little short of our anticipations. In this county, Scott and Harrison, we have done well. In those counties in 1828, the majority for Barry over Metcalf was 863. This year our majority is 697—making a difference of 930 votes in our favor. That Buckner is elected Governor and Morehead Lieutenant Governor, we think there can be but little if any doubt; but not being entirely out of the woods, we will not yet raise the shout."

The following is from the Western Citizen, printed at Paris, Bourbon County:

"The counties of Fayette, Bourbon, Scott, Harrison, and Nicholas, gave at the election for Governor in 1828, a majority of 556 for Barry, and now they give a majority of 559 (and we have not Fayette's full vote) for Buckner."

The U. S. Telegraph of yesterday says:

"Kentucky Elections.—We have as yet full returns only from seven counties in the State, and by comparing the vote with that of 1828, it appears that there has been a great falling off in the Jackson ranks, in every county heard from. In Bourbon, Fayette, and Mason, the Clay majorities have increased 700; while in Harrison, Jefferson, Nicholas, and Scott, the Jackson majorities have decreased 896 votes We give this as the only data yet in our possession, upon which politicians can reason with any degree of precision as to the final result of the election."
