FROM DEMERARA.

By the arrival of the brig Undaunted, Capt. Hatton, in 33 days from Demerara, we have received the Royal Gazette of August 23d, by which we learn that the Island has been put under Martial Law in consequence of a very serious insurrection of the Blacks. A Preacher had been put in confinement, charged with being the instigator of the revolt, and it was the general opinion that he would be hung. Many of the negroes had been killed by the troops sent against them, and several executions had taken place.—Norfolk Beacon.
