NEW-YORK, May 18.

Yesterday afternoon a Beautiful Carved LIBERTY CAP, supported by the AMERICAN and FRENCH FLAGS, under which was inscribed in Beautiful Letters of Gold, "SACRED TO LIBERTY," was erected in the Tontine Coffee-House, by a number of Respectable Republicans, amidst repeated huzzas and shouts of Patriotic Citizens.

After the dismissal of the different corps, a number of them repaired to the Tontine, where they in conjunction with those already assembled, partook of a social bowl, drank a number of toasts, and sung several applicable songs characteristick of their lively sentiments.
