Clothing Destroyed In Conflagration

Fire breaking out in a clothes closet at the H H. Hensley residence, 210 N 10th street, was quickly extinguished by the Mc Allen volunteer fire department Saturday morning. Although negligible damage was done to the house, firemen said a large quantity of clothing in the closet was severely damaged. A moth-proofing vacuum cleaner being used in an upstairs closet caught the clothing on fire, firemen said. City police shortly after the fire again issued a warning to motorists to refrain from following the fire equipment. It was reported several motorists raced to the scene of the fire closely behind the equipment.
