AID TO AUGUSTA.—We published, a few days since, that a number of nurses and physicians, sent by the Howard Association of New Orleans, to afford assistance to Augusta, Savannah and Charleston, passed through our city and volunteered their services if required. We have now to announce that our worthy and energetic Mayor deemed it necessary to call upon them for aid, which was promptly responded to by sending us four female and two male nurses, and also affording us the services of Dr. Campbell, of New Orleans, who, as a member of the Association, comes among us to aid our present distress by his experience in practising in New Orleans during the prevalence of the epidemic which has now unfortunately made its appearance in our city. We feel deeply grateful to this noble Association for their kindness in affording us succor in our hour of need, and should an opportunity be offered to our citizens of reciprocating this favor, we have no doubt they will be found ready and willing to respond to their call.
