Quarterly Meeting Day Held Sunday At Wayman
Sunday was quarterly meeting day at Wayman. Sunday morning the presiding elder, Rev. W. E. Guy brought a soul stirring message which was enjoyed by all. Sunday afternoon Rev. H. C. Boyd brought the communion message which was full of truth and food for thought. The St. Peter's choir furnished the music. Immediately after the afternoon service the P. E. left for his home in Springfield, Ill. Quarterly conference will be held Wednesday, June 5th at 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. another Townsend Plan club will be organized at Wayman: all members who have joined are urged to be present. Friday evening, May 27th, at 8:00 p.m. the pastor's aid will meet at the parsonage with Miss Irene Schaffer, hostess. Sunday morning the pastor will occupy the pulpit. Sunday afternoon, at 3:00 p.m. the official board will complete the state rally. Mr. Cecil Newman will be the speaker and a musical treat has been planned. Sunday evening, May 26th, at 8:00 p.m. The S. M. T.'s of Queen Esther Temple No. 2 will have their annual sermon at Wayman with the St. Paul Lodge as guest. Rev. L. P. Ashford will preach the sermon. Sunday, June 2, at 8:00 p.m. Bishop J. A. Gregg D.D. of the Fourth Episcopal District will dedicate the Wayman A. M. E. church. Sunday, June 16, is Women's Day at Wayman.
