Full Text

The Orpheum.
Everything is not working harmoniously in Orpheum circles and the appearance of the Southwell Company last evening did not tend to smooth over the troubles between the directors and some of the stockholders.
The Orpheum has been a welcome addition to the amusements of the city but managers as well as companies appearing on the stage should remember that this is not a jay town, and that the patrons of the theatre are not to be bullied by employees of the concern or forced to applaud a synde show. We hope that the Orpheum will stay with us, because it is the kind of a place the public will want as long as it is well conducted, talent introduced and good-will and courtesy shown all around.
