Full Text
Postmaster Cook on the Spit Again.
The Chicago offices have already given Old Buck as much trouble as they are worth, to say the least; and a Washington despatch states his attention has been called from the preparation of his annual message to a consideration of Chicago Democratic disagreements. The Douglas men have raked up so many charges against Postmaster Cook, that he has been sent for to come to Washington and face the music. Cook has out-generaled his Douglas persecutors so far, and probably will so long as Buchanan reigns.
