Personal Notes.
J. B. Luther of Paradise, is in town.
John Church left for San Francisco yesterday.
R. L. Fulton, of the Reno Gazette, passed west yesterday.
D. H. Haskell returned from Kelton Saturday and went on west.
Hugh Darrah of Willow Point, arrived in town Saturday.
Miss Hattie Gilbert, of Paradise, is visiting her cousin, Miss Gussie Gilbert, at Carson.
J. H. Sackett, of McDermitt Post, returned yesterday from San Francisco, where he attended the G. A. R. meeting.
T. C. Emery having disposed of his ranch and teams, intends returning to the home of his boyhood in Maine.
General Powney received quite an ovation upon his return home from the East.
Senator Stanford and wife of California, passed west Saturday in their private car "Stanford," which is said to be one of the finest on wheels.
County Clerk Rogers and Colonel Jerry Moore, of Elko, passed East yesterday on their return from the Grand Encampment.
Congressman Morrow of California, one of the two Representatives from the Pacific Coast who voted against the free coinage of silver, was a passenger on Saturday's train.
J. C. Harlow, State Printer, who was elected Grand Master Workman of the A. O. U. W., Peter Brannan, of Virginia City, and J. R. Shaw, of Dayton, passed west yesterday on their return from the Grand Lodge of A. O. U. W. at Ogden.
