ST. LOUIS—Changes recently negotiated in the current agreement with Missouri Pacific Transportation Co. have resulted in improved working conditions for BRT busmen on that property.
The pact provides an improved rule covering extra operators being assigned to jobs advertised and no bids received.
Corpus Christi, Tex., was added to the list of points where extra operators will be furnished information as to their standing on the extra board.
One mill per mile increase was obtained for all operators, making a top rate of .0750.
An improved vacation rule provides that operators with 20 or more years service will receive three weeks vacation.
General Chairman J. H. Duke (920) and members of his negotiation committee, comprising B. R. Whisenant (842), acting secretary; W. K. Lawrence (920), C. C. Hunting (578) and H. C. Thornton (920), met with management in St. Louis in negotiating the changes.
