Miss Aycock Goes To Relief School

Miss Virginia Aycock, for the past eight months secretary in the office of Mrs. W. B. Waddill, welfare superintendent of the county, and Federal relief administrator, is at Chapel Hill attending the four weeks course being given for workers in relief officers in the State. The course is offered by the school of administration the University of North Carolina, the State Department of Welfare and the Governor's Office of Relief. Three phases of the course being given include administration, office management and case work. About 100 are registered, the course having begun last Monday. Miss Aycock was accompanied to Chapel Hill by Mrs. Waddill. During the third week of the course the Institute of Public Welfare Officials of the State will be combined with the training for the workers. Mrs. Waddill will attend that gathering. She is vice-president of the public welfare officers' group, and is a member of the State Board of Advisors of the Institute of Government, which holds its sessions at Chapel Hill on Friday and Saturday of this week.
