M'DONALD CONVICTED.
The jury in the McDonald case found the defendant guilty on all the counts. During the reading of the verdict McDonald did not seem to evince any particular interest in the matter. He entered the jail with a cheery good-by to Judge Krum, a shake of the hand, and a military salute. He was assigned to cell No. 87, in the second tier, and we learn that he went to sleep early. All this display of nerve comes from a knowledge that powerful influence will soon be at work in his behalf.
