Minneapolis, Jan. 3.--John Burmeister, president of the Northern league, is confined to his bed, a victim of the grippe. The baseball magnate has been sick for four days, and while his condition is not serious, he is unable to attend to his personal and baseball business.
The Northern league club owners are scheduled to meet on January 20, and there is a possibility that two copper country cities will be included in the Northern league circuit this year.
President Burmeister is handling the affairs dealing with the circuit change and until he has fully recovered no definite news will be given out.
