Secretary Stimson Calls
On Taft at White House

(By Associated Press.)

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26. Affairs at the White House went on as usual today. There was no great increase in the number of congressional callers in consequence of the announcement of Colonel Roosevelt's willingness to accept another nomination.

Secretary of War Stimson was among the president's callers. Asked as to what attitude he would take with regard to Colonel Roosevelt, Mr. Stimson said:

"I will make my position perfectly clear in the speech I shall make in Chicago March 5."

This speech is to be made before the Chicago Taft club. Several days ago Mr. Stimson announced that he would talk of the Taft administration. His speech has been looked forward to as one of the series cabinet officers are to make in behalf of their chief.
