Criminal Doctors
ONE OF THE LEADING PHYSICIANS of the Negro racial group in Los Angeles, California, finds himself behind the jail bars on the charge of committing an illegal abortion with a promising young girl of his racial group as his victim.
Whatever punishment is meted out to this offending criminal physician will only serve him right, for his crime is none the less fraught with gravity than that of the robber who, under cover of the darkness, invades the room of a sleeping female and destroys her life, along with that of a babe.
It is of general knowledge, in many communities, that individuals operating under physician's license, make their living, and apparently thrive on committing illegal abortions, with school girls of all ages as their subjects. Occasionally a woman's life is exacted as the cowardly criminals fail in adopting the proper treatment after their act.
Hundreds get by without their crimes coming to the attention of authorities, or even to parents of the victims of this criminal activity.
The need is apparent for a little more diligence on the part of our law enforcement officers, with a view of apprehending these criminals. and when they are discovered, the maximum punishment should be speedily administered.
