"Herald of Health".—Beagle has the July number of this magazine. The first article, by Moses C. Tyler, should be read by all the "gymnastic boys" in Virginia. The Athletics will enjoy the discussion there reported, on the value of a gymnasium. Henry Ward Beecher contributes an article to this number entitled: "Uses of the Human Body." Other articles are respectively named: "Hints for improving the Lungs," "The Curative influence of the Mind," "Manners 350 years ago," "Letters to ladies," "The physiology of man," etc. Departments in this magazine, headed, "Home treatment of diseases," and "Answers to correspondents," contain very valuable advice and instruction.
