WILLIAMSBURG, February 21.

Nor any certain advices from the army, except by a Gentleman who left the camp the first of this instant, on which day he informs that a skirmish happened between a party of our army and about an equal number of the enemy which was long and obstinate, and remained doubtful till the British forces received a reinforcement, when our men were obliged to retreat; that Major Parker, and Adjutant Kelly of the 5th Virginia regiment, were both killed, the former in the action, and the latter murdered by the enemy after falling into their hands, having previously received a ball through both thighs, which rendered his retreat impracticable.
