IN DISTRICT COURT
Water Suit Settled-Divorce Granted
-Other Proceeding.
District court has been in session here the past two days. No jury cases are on for trial and the proceedings have been somewhat dry, although dealing principally with water.
The case of Malcolm McMillan vs. Lyman Blodgett et al is being tried today and another water case, that of Chas. Herman et al against W. E. Gleason et al, is set for tomorrow.
In the water suit of Amos Buck et al against A. P. Williamson et al by stipulation of parties concerned the case was settled out of court.
Mary E. Slocum was granted a decree of divorce from John Slocum in accordance with her petition, the defendant failing to appear.
In the case of the state of Montana against Bert Willison, charged with grand larceny, upon motion of the county attorney the defendant was discharged, there not being sufficient evidence to convict. Willison is an Australian who became involved in some way at the time the "Streets of Mexico' theatrical company stranded in Stevensville.
