VARIED TALKS TO BE GIVEN TONIGHT BEFORE CHAMBER

In addition to the talk by T. M. Henderson, local manager of the Western Union company, there will be a number of other speakers at tonight's dinner meeting of the chamber of commerce, according to Mark Munson, program chairman.

A number of reservations has been made at chamber headquarters for this important event.

Henderson has chosen as his topic, "Faster Dots and Dashes," and will tell of the improvements being made in the fast transmission of telegrams and will illustrate his talk with one of the multiplex machines used in modern telegraph transmission.

Walter Haverkorst of Brawley and a prominent breeder of Guernsey cattle in Imperial Valley, will speak on the topic of dairying, at tonight's dinner.

Postmaster C. G. Jenkins has returned from his northern visit, during which he attended the postmasters' convention at Sacramento. Jenkins will tell of this interesting event and will also give the latest developments on the establishment of the Southern Air Mail.

As a climax to a varied program, Charles H. M. Small of the Security First National Bank will tell of his experiences during several weeks in northeastern Arizona and the state of Nevada.

Chairman Munson will preside at tonight's dinner in the absence of President R. B. Whitelaw, who is seeking the adventures of vacationing, and he urges that there be a full attendance of chamber of commerce members, their wives and friends at tonight's dinner. Particularly does he urge the dairymen of Imperial Valley to attend, as a number of matters of interest to dairymen will be discussed.
