Crashes Near McGrath

A chartered plane is reported to have crashed near McGrath this morning with 6 or 7 people aboard. The plane, belonging to Bud Priest, was enroute from Tanana to McGrath, crashed in the Ophir area, about five miles from McGrath. It is believed to have been off course.

The plane is believed to have been carrying a group of young people who were selling magazine subscriptions. Whether they were girls or boys, or both is not known. According to early reports, no one has yet reached the plane, which is badly scattered.
