15,000 CARS TO BE
LICENSED IN COUNTY

Over 15,000 cars will be licensed in Tazewell County this year according to H. H. Thompson, head of the Tazewell County License Bureau.

Sale of the 1958 license tags will begin Saturday, March 15 with automobile tags costing $10 and the minimum for trucks, $12. Rent-a-car and fleet cars can also secure licenses at the Tazewell office.

Three workers will be in the bureau office, located at the head of Tazewell Avenue on Fincastle Turnpike daily, except Sunday, between March 15 and April 15.

Office hours are 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a. m. to 12 noon on Saturday.

Mr. Thompson urges all car owners to buy their tags early, and to avoid the last minute rush.
