DESERVING OF CREDIT

F. D. Johnson, 421 1/2 N. Mackubin Street, has been one of our readers for a long time. He likes our editorial page so well that he sends copies to a friend, Hodding Carter, editor and publisher of The Delta Democrat-Times, Greenville Miss.

We are often quoted in the out-of-state press as well as in the Twin City press. Because F. D. Johnson sent Mr. Carter our papers, we were quoted in the Delta Democrat-Times on February 5. Our answer in the February 18th edition gave us another quote in the February 20 Star.

Thanks, Mr. Johnson for helping us to tell our story to the world.

Incidentally, the Delta Democrat-Times is the only daily paper in Mississippi which gives the courtesy title of "Mrs." to our Negro women. This has been a policy of Mr. Hodding Carter for the past ten years.
