Several committee reports were given at the spring meeting of the Richland County 4-H Council meeting held this past Tuesday evening at the NYA hall.
The major share of county-wide 4-H activities are held during the summer and fall months and each activity is headed by a committee of 4-H club leaders and junior leaders.
The Talent Night committee reported that Talent Night would be held June 6, at the Sidney High School Auditorium and that the program would follow the same general pattern as in the past. Ray Norby, Fairview, and Sterling Swigart, Sidney, are serving as co-chairmen of the Talent Night Committee.
A committee report on 4-H camp brought out considerable discussion. Richland County 4-H Camp will be held July 8 to 11 at the county fairgrounds. Sterling Swigart is serving as chairman of the camp committee.
The Agriculture report, given by the chairman, Casper Wick, Fairview centered on the annual county Day and the County Fair. It was reported that all agriculture judging including livestock, crops, gardening and range would again be held at the county fairgrounds on July 25.
Present officers of the 4-H Council are 4-H Leaders, Mrs. Henry Levno, Sidney, president; Mrs. Lloyd Wick, Sidney, secretary; and Mrs. Gordon Tuott, Sidney, treasurer. Junior Leader Elaine Wick of Sidney is Council Historian. Directors of the Council are 4-H Leaders Mrs. David Steppler, Brockton; Dave Albin, Sidney; and Verner King of Poplar.
