Full Text
The roadway that has heretofore led into the school grounds and athletic field is now almost completely filled and it is expected that another week will see the ground leading from the high school building across the athletic field leveled off and ready for the extension of the lawn in front of the high school building to take in the old roadway. The present plans call for concrete steps leading up from the sidewalk where the roadbed was, so that pedestrians will have a means of entrance to the athletic field without having to go around by the front of the high school building.
The entire cost of the labor for these projects is being met with funds received by McDowell county from the R. F. C.
