Los Angeles—Motley H. Flint, 65, millionaire and retired banker, was shot to death in a courtroom by Frank D. Keaton, 56, real estate dealer. Brooding over loss of savings seven years ago prompted the killing. The victim for years was a leading figure in political, banking and motion picture financial circles of Los Angeles. Some 30 years ago he was postmaster here, and he was a brother of the late Frank P. Flint, former United States senator. Keaton said he lost his savings in purchasing First National bank stock through Flint seven years ago. Alienists examined him and pronounced he was suffering from some form of psychosis. The banker had just finished testifying in the trial of David O. Selznick's suit to recover $250,000 from the Security-First National bank.
