Honeymoons On Payments!

It is reported that a Boston tourist agency has installed a department to advance funds to honeymooners, who may pay back in "easy payments" the money spent on their trip. Obviously, the plan is to make money. Incidentally, will it increase the number of marriages? To some extent it may; but love finds its way anyhow. If the husbands in Clintwood were to "fess up" we'll make a friendly wager that few of them had much ready cash when they started on that long trail of matrimony.

That the lack of funds delays some marriages there is no doubt. But might not installment plan make matters worse? The unthinking nuptials—because the money is advanced and comes easily, and also because the honeymoon time is a time when thinking about economy is not on the program—might go on a longer trip and spend more money than their station in life would warrant. Then when the furniture and the vacuum sweeper, the new car and the baby carriage have to be paid for, there are those "blamed honeymoon installments" still staring them in the face.
