Edith Arnell Moon, 31, of 4261 Richton, was placed on two years probation with the first sixty days in the House of Correction last week by Recorder's Judge John A. Ricca after pleading guilty to unlawful driving away an automobile.

Police said Mrs. Moon and a male companion went to a used car lot at 6111 Livernois last May 21, where Mrs. Moon expressed her desire to purchase an automobile. She was shown a 1962 Falcon sedan by a salesman.

The officers said later the salesman was called into the office to answer the phone. Mrs. Moon got into the car and drove off.
