Since the Abolition party have torn the country to pieces, divided the Union, and stopped the circulation of gold and silver, there has been comparatively little building going on anywhere.—Building lots, material and labor, have been beyond the reach of men possessing a moderate amount of capital. Retrenchment and reform are much needed in this country.
