Much has been said about the popularity of the Bank in the "Old Dominion;" and the friends of Nicholas Biddle have prophesied most lustily as to the aid they expected in Virginia. A few weeks since, it will be remembered, Mr. Bouldin, a member of the Congressional House of Representatives, from Virginia, expired while delivering a speech. An election for his successor took place immediately afterwards, and resulted in the election of his brother, J. W. Bouldin, a thorough going Jacksonian, an enemy of the United States Bank, and an advocate of the removal of the deposites. His majority over Beverly Tucker, a Nicholas Biddle man, was about 400. Virginia, to whom we all owed so much in 1798, has no notion of making a fool of herself in 1834.
