By Captain Bradford, who arrived here last Tuesday in 6 Days from Louisbourg, we have the following very agreeable Intelligence, viz.

That on the 19th ult. Capt. Dorrington, from Boston, off Canso fell in with the Repulse, a 30 Gun Frigate, the Master of which was on board Capt. Dorrington, and inform'd him, that 3 or 4 Days before, he had an Engagement with a French Frigate of 36 Guns, in the Bay of Chaleurs, which lasted 5 Hours, when he fortunately sunk her; that he then attack'd a Fleet of Store-Ships, to the Number of 25 or 30, which lay in the Bay, and destroyed every one of them. The Enemy had a Battery On Shore, which fired briskly on the Repulse, and tore her almost to Pieces.

Capt. Harris arrived at Louisbourg the next Day, (being the 20th) and confirm'd the above Account, and inform'd, that in the Gut he had like to have been boarded by a French Pettiauger, which he fired at and beat off sundry Times.

The 21st ult. sail'd from Louisbourg, for Quebec, the Race-Horse, and 17 Sail with Stores, Provisions. &c.

The 22d sail'd for Halifax, 9 Sail, with Cannon and Stores for that Place.
