GIFT FOR MANAGER HOWE.

Employees of Seattle Theater Give Christmas Surprise.

J. P. Howe, the popular manager of the Seattle theater, was presented after the performance last night with a handsome evidence of the esteem in which he is held by the employees of the house. The gift was a silver-mounted writing set, including all the various kinds of instruments required by Mr. Howe for his desk. At the conclusion of the formal presentation Manager Howe retaliated by bringing forth a basket of champagne, and the genial manager and his employees watched the coming of Christmas amid the popping of corks.
