Madrid, Aug. 31. The Merchants from all Parts of the Kingdom are unanimous in their Instances, that the next Fleet of Galleons and the Flotilla be sent to the West-Indies on the same Footing as formerly, the Advantages arising from that Economy of the Indian Commerce extending to the whole Body of national Traders, whereas that by Register Ships is no more than a lucrative Scheme for the Court, by which a few private Persons and many Foreigners, Adventurers in the Cargoes of those Ships, engross all the Emoluments.
