Edward Mariner and other passengers, including 299 from New Jersey Provincial Forces, sailed from Quebec in a cartel on the 18th of July last and arrived at Plymouth in 28 days. Mariner reported only 5 regiments of regulars in Canada, no ship of war in Quebec harbor, but met 20 transports convoyed by 2 men of war and a frigate going up the River Lawrence from France. Col. Peter Schuyler supported English prisoners. Capt. Farmer remained prisoner at Quebec with others.
