LEAGUERS' LOVE FEAST
The Topeka District Epworth League Members Shake Hands.

The Epworth Leaguers of the Topeka district held a love feast in the First Methodist church last night. For several minutes the floor of the church presented an animated scene, a combination of beaming faces and hearty handshakes. Last night's programme opened with a song service led by J. K. Bair. This was followed by the revival sermon which usually precedes a love feast, preached by Rev. W. C. Coleman of the Summit Street Methodist church of Kansas City, Mo. Rev. Mr. Coleman's style of speaking is what might be termed "stirring," and he exhorted the young people to give up sin and walk in the path of righteousness. After the love feast several minutes were taken up by delegates in offering their personal testimony as to what benefit they had derived from the meeting. One young lady stood up and said she had been saved. A young man sitting close by said that he had not been saved, but that he had been blest. Rev. Billingsley closed by saying that he wanted to see a revival fire break out in every league chapter in the district. The election of officers for the ensuing year was held yesterday afternoon and resulted as follows: J. P. Slaughter of Burlingame, president; Rev. L. K. Billingsley of Topeka, first vice president; Miss Mary Brown of North Topeka, second vice president; Miss Viola Troutman of North Topeka, third vice president; Orie L. Garlinghouse of Lynn Creek, fourth vice president; George E. Dougherty of Topeka, corresponding secretary; F. H. Goudy of Burlingame, recording secretary; Scott E. Bedford of Osage City, treasurer.
